Fissure
An anal fissure is a break or tear in the mucous membrane of anal canal. Anal fissure may me noticed by severe pain after, during passing stools, blood streaks attached on stools.Anal fissure usually extend from anal opening and are usually located posteriorly at midline.Fisuure depth may be superficial or sometimes down to the underlying sphincter muscle.
Fissure Causes
Prevention From Fissure
- Avoid straining during passing stools.
- Treating and preventing constipation by eating food rich in dietary fibres.
- Drink lot of water.
- Careful anal hygiene after passing stools includes use of soft toilet papers and/cleaning with water.
Treatment on Fissure
- Medical treatment are recommended initially for acute and chronic anal Fissures. Other measures include warm sitz bath, high fibre diet and stool softners.
- Eventhough after taking medical treatment and other measures if Fissure and symptoms persists.
